Ishq - a Fusion of Passion and Peace
Ishq is a word used by Sufis to describe a spiritual state of ecstatic passionate love for life, for ones self and for God. It is a space where we are literally intoxicated by Spirit and rejoice in the realization of Beauty in Existence. It is the feeling of being completely turned-on to life, to say yes to that which is in every moment.
Sufis represent Ishq with the color Pomegranite. This is a mixture of the vitality and passion of red, known as the Strength Essence and the peace of black, know as the Essence of Power and Peace. To attain to the state of Ishq certain issues relevant to inner strength and inner peace have to be dealt with and resolved.
Sufis say Ishq is like having a deep rich red wine running in your veins and feeling intoxicated with the Divine. This group is about opening to a passionate love affair with Life - an opportunity to celebrate in gratitude this blessing and opportunity of being alive.
